With over 30 years in the construction industry, Brendan Dale is a highly respected leader known for his expertise in managing large-scale teams and delivering award-winning developments. Throughout his career, he has successfully led teams of over 100 staff and overseen the completion of more than 1,100 apartments across 60 developments—never missing a practical completion date. 

As Managing Director of CoStruct, Brendan is committed to fostering a culture where collaboration, precision, and excellence drive every project. His meticulous attention to detail and unwavering focus on quality ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.  

Having been instrumental in delivering some of Queensland’s most highly awarded developments, Brendan believes that success is built on strong teams and a shared commitment to excellence—values that form the foundation of CoStruct. 

Megan Dale brings a wealth of experience and a passion for people and culture to her role as Operations Manager at CoStruct. With nearly 24 years of experience supporting her husband, Brendan, in the building industry, Megan has developed expertise in administration, bookkeeping, payroll, and operational efficiency. 

When CoStruct was founded, Megan was eager to bring Brendan’s vision to life by implementing innovative practices prioritising team wellbeing and culture. She oversees all aspects of the company’s day-to-day operations, including accounts, payroll, HR, and operational planning. Her responsibilities range from improving organisational processes and quality control to fostering staff morale and maintaining strategic partnerships. Megan’s holistic approach ensures CoStruct operates smoothly while creating a workplace where every team member feels valued and motivated. 

Growing up with a builder as a father and later marrying one, Megan has always been inspired by the construction industry’s ability to bring people together to achieve a common goal. For her, the most rewarding part of working at CoStruct is the collaborative, supportive culture; in Megan’s words, “It’s truly remarkable to see people eager to come to work, contribute their unique skills, and work as a cohesive team”. Megan’s dedication to creating an enjoyable and successful workplace has been instrumental in shaping CoStruct’s positive culture. 

With over 35 years in the construction industry, Richard Graham brings unparalleled experience and leadership to CoStruct. Starting his career as a mature-aged building cadet in the late 1980s, Richard has worked on diverse projects across government and private sectors, including medical centres, shopping centres, and large-scale residential developments. His extensive expertise spans roles such as Contracts Administrator, Construction Manager, and Project Manager, with a strong focus on managing design and construction environments.  

As Project Manager at CoStruct, Richard leads teams to achieve and exceed client expectations consistently. Throughout his career, he has delivered outstanding results in challenging market conditions, including navigating the complexities of COVID-19, cost escalation, and labour shortages. Notable projects include HALO Skyneedle Apartments and Riviere by Aria, where his leadership ensured timely and high-quality outcomes. 

Richard thrives in CoStruct’s collaborative, ego-free culture, appreciating the opportunity to work alongside like-minded professionals. For him, the dynamic nature of the construction industry and the constant opportunities to learn remain as exciting today as they were at the start of his career. 

With a diverse background spanning Business Support, Program Management, Marketing, and Operations, Sally Goodwin brings a wealth of experience to her role at CoStruct. Her previous experience managing programs equips her with the skills to identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance collaboration within the business. Additionally, her marketing expertise is instrumental in showcasing the essence of CoStruct and its projects through engaging content.  

As Brendan Dale’s Executive Assistant, Sally leverages her deep understanding of his goals and vision to help drive CoStruct’s success. Her strong working relationship with Brendan, built over years of collaboration, ensures seamless support in achieving the company’s objectives. For Sally, the camaraderie and shared commitment to delivering exceptional results are the highlights of being part of the CoStruct team. 

With 18 years of experience in the construction industry, Michael Shale brings a wealth of expertise and a hands-on, problem-solving approach to CoStruct. His career began as an apprentice carpenter, and he quickly progressed into supervisory roles within the commercial sector, gaining practical experience across industries such as aged care, sports, education, retail, mining, transport, and multi-residential projects. This diverse background has equipped Michael with a flexible, results-driven mindset and a deep understanding of logistics, planning, and on-site operations. 

As Site Manager at CoStruct, Michael is responsible for detailed programming, logistics management, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring compliance with building codes. His primary focus is delivering projects within set timeframes while producing high-quality outcomes that meet client and end-user expectations. Michael takes pride in balancing the immediate demands of construction with long-term functionality, all while minimising risks and exposure for the company. 

Michael’s career is marked by significant accomplishments, including managing complex projects such as a $250 million aged care development and a Master Builders award-winning safety innovation project at Surfers Paradise. One of his standout achievements was leading the challenging Halo Project, a multi-residential development incorporating the heritage-listed Skyneedle. The tight program, intricate planning, and custom solutions required pushed his problem-solving skills to the limit, making the successful completion of the project especially rewarding. 

For Michael, the most fulfilling aspect of his work at CoStruct is the team. “People don’t necessarily work for companies—they work for people,” he says. The collaborative and supportive culture at CoStruct inspires him daily, and he looks forward to contributing to the company’s growth while creating memorable experiences along the way. 

Dan was inspired to pursue a career in construction after serving overseas with the Australian Army, where he helped rebuild homes and community buildings. The experience showed Dan the positive impact construction can have on communities.

Now, with 18 years of experience in the construction industry, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and a strong work ethic to every site he manages. With a career built from a foundation in the army, Dan honed his ability to remain calm under pressure, manage teams effectively, and adapt quickly to unforeseen challenges.

These qualities have been essential in his transition to construction, where he now excels in overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at every stage.

James Baker’s journey into construction began with a foundation in architecture and a passion for problem-solving. As a Project Architect, he honed his skills in design collaboration, coordination, and managing complex projects across diverse typologies. Driven by a desire to bridge the gap between design and construction, James transitioned to working with a commercial builder to gain a holistic understanding of the entire process. 

At CoStruct, James oversees the design process as Design Manager, ensuring all documentation is coordinated, client requirements are met, and necessary approvals are obtained. His role also involves aligning with site teams to support the construction phase, making him integral to delivering projects from concept to completion.  

For James, the joy of transforming ideas on paper into tangible structures is deeply rewarding, and the people at CoStruct make the experience even more fulfilling. His commitment to continuous learning and his knack for balancing creativity with practicality reflect his dedication to excellence in every project. 

Emer brings a strong business background and a degree in accounting, complemented by many years of experience working for reputable companies across various sectors. Her career journey began as an Assistant Accountant, where she thrived in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.

In her previous role, she had the privilege of working closely with a Financial Controller, which allowed Emer to further develop her accounting expertise. Emer became skilled in preparing detailed project and expense reports, managing and maintaining financial registers, and assisting with budget preparation and analysis.

Emer’s passionate about maintaining smooth financial operations and working closely with teams to contribute to the continued success of a business.

Lachlan Creevey’s career in construction began as a building cadet, gaining invaluable experience working on multi-residential projects. He further developed his expertise in retail fit-outs, overseeing projects for major supermarkets and new shopping centres. 

His experience also includes working on diverse infrastructure and commercial developments, where he has taken on roles such as Contract Administrator, Site Engineer, and Project Engineer. His portfolio spans everything from radiation therapy bunkers to transport infrastructure upgrades. 

As a Contract Administrator, Lachlan is responsible for procurement, budget management, contractual claims, and subcontractor assessments. With over eight years in the industry, his comprehensive experience and people-first approach are instrumental in delivering successful outcomes. 

With over 23 years of industry experience, Ashley has previously worked across high-end multi-residential, commercial, civil and mining construction. Starting as an apprentice carpenter and quickly moving up into supervisory roles.

Growing up with a father who ran his own building company, Ashley has been on job sites since he was a kid. Working on weekends and school holidays to get extra pocket money where he gained valuable onsite experience.

Ashley’s stand out accomplishment was working on the Ambrose Treacy College auditorium, classroom, and staff office block. This project required advanced expertise with innovative structural elements to ensure the integrity and aesthetic vision were seamlessly integrated which resulted in this building being recognised as an award-winning architectural design project.

Ashley said “what I enjoy most about working at CoStruct is the strong sense of teamwork and support. It’s exciting to work alongside people who are passionate and dedicated to making a difference in the construction industry. I’m looking forward to growing with the team.”

With over a decade of construction experience since moving to Australia in 2012, Los Manu has worked in high-risk environments as a rigger, dogman, and crane operator across industries such as marine construction and high-rise commercial projects. His transition into health and safety was fuelled by his understanding of construction workers’ challenges and his dedication to creating safer job sites. Los combines proactive safety planning with reactive incident management to reduce risks and foster a safe environment for everyone.  

As CoStruct’s Health and Safety Coordinator, Los ensures safety remains a top priority on all sites, promoting a culture where every worker feels valued and supported. He takes pride in balancing a hands-on approach with strategic oversight, ensuring the wellbeing of teams while delivering quality outcomes. For Los, working at CoStruct offers a unique opportunity to shape a safety culture aligned with the company’s commitment to excellence.
